Our fight against breast cancer with the Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA) since 2003 has brought many of our members together to support our fellow women in need.

s

BCWA was founded in 1986 by medical specialists who realised the need for peer support. It aims to provide emotional, social and material support for individuals with breast cancer. By educating the public on breast health issues, BCWA aims to educate the public on breast cancer, the importance of early detection, as well as strengthening the capacity of individuals with breast cancer to self-manage during and after treatment.

Our support for BCWA began through the unprecedented breakthrough weight loss campaign witnessed and certified by members of the media. The successful “Gutsy Girl’s Weight Loss Challenge” raised RM26,300 which was donated to BCWA (RM1,000 for every 1kg of weight loss). Since then, our support and contributions to BCWA continues to steadfastly provide for BCWA’s financial needs while promoting awareness and education for early detection and prevention.

From sharing sessions, and screening initiatives to fund-raising activities, we are committed to assist BCWA through financial means and awareness activities. Together, we can make a difference supporting women with breast cancer and the BCWA team that are supporting them. Every year, our breast cancer awareness campaigns brings our members together in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month to support this cause – recognising the importance of education and awareness among women.
It is our passion and commitment to continue empowering women through education and support for a good cause. Regardless of where you are in the world, let us empower the important and special women in our lives on breast cancer awareness.
